Instructional Design Samples

Consulting Project
I was brought into this project as an instructional designer to help an international micro-loan organization ”close the gap” between its low performance in loan repayments and industry standards. The document is dense and includes all aspects of the ADDIE model. It presents a complete solution, and it includes samples of the instructional strategy and instructional materials. The names of the two organizations involved have been changed for privacy reasons.

Sunday Morning Training: Pages Training Proposal
This proposal was presented to Apple Retail store management to support the need for Product Zone Specialists to understand the features and benefits of the Pages app. Instructional Goal: Sales associates will demonstrate, during the sale of a computer and using available demo computers, the basic features and benefits of Pages by using the “demo” and “2-minute ride” activities.

Learning Objectives Spreadsheet
I developed this spreadsheet at the start of an Apple Career Experience with Special Projects Group in 2020. I was given a list of over 100 learning objectives to review, discuss with SMEs and DRIs, and boil them down to the essential requirements. I used the ABCD method of building learning objectives (Audience, Behavior, Condition, Degree).

Photo Basics: The Exposure Triangle
I designed this training Keynote for beginner photographers to understand what the exposure triangle is and how to use it to design and create their photographs. This is representative of my Ask, Say, Do-style training.

Sunday Morning Training
I rapidly created this Sunday Morning Training proposal for Apple Retail Store managers to improve Product Zone Specialists’ knowledge of iWork so they could speak to customers about the apps and provide demos to customers based on their specific needs.
